Happy Halloween!

Halloween weekend was a big weekend for Elena. Not only was it her first Halloween, but it was also her first time staying overnight away from home. On Saturday, we headed to Rapids to see friends. We spent the night at Cara and Jon Lee's house. It worked out great because they have a 2-year old and a 3-year old. They were very understanding when it came to a crying baby. We were able to sleep in the basement and they even had a pack and play set up for us. Cara and Jon hosted a nice dinner. Molli was visiting from California so we had a nice get together in her honor. Liz, Terika, Greg, Marissa, Art, Mara, Rachel and Dan were also there. Elena and Mara met for the first time. They are only a month a part in age. They looked to be pretty much the same size. Terika and Greg shared that they are expecting so we were quite excited by that news. By 11pm we were exhausted so we put Elena down and we went to sleep. Eric and I were quite nervous about how Elena would do, but the night went quite well. I think Elena was pretty exhausted.

Then, today we got back to Madison around 1:30 and began taking Elena around to show off her puppy costume. We saw her Grandma and Grandpa Borchardt. We also went and saw her Grandma and Grandpa Bodette. Then we had dinner at Eric's sister's house with her family. Evelyn was a puppy, too and Marion was a pumpkin. After that, we went and walked around with my brother's family while they trick or treated. Finally we headed home around 8pm. Hopefully Elena will sleep well after such a long day. On Friday night, she gave us 6.5 straight hours of sleep so hopefully we can have more of that.

Happy Halloween!
