On Sunday, we celebrated Elena's Baptism with friends and family. The ceremony took place after the 10am mass at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Madison. There were three other babies getting baptized along with Elena. Elena's Grandma and Grandpa Bodette were chosen to be her Godparents. Elena did pretty good during the ceremony. She stayed awake through the whole thing. Elena started to get a little fussy at the end, but overall she did a great jog. She didn't even cry when the water was poured on her head. She wore a beautiful dress that her Grandma Bodette prepared for her. My mom used my baptism gown, but removed the lace and added parts from the shawl from my wedding dress. It turned out great!
After the ceremony we headed over to the community room at Elena's Grandpa and Grandma Borchardt's apartment complex. We had a wonderful lunch that was prepared by Elena's grandparents, Eric, and me. It was great to see everyone!
