Baby Showers

On May 21, we had our first baby shower. My co-workers through us a shower. Eric even came to this one. I'm so lucky to work with such caring people. There was great food and many presents. The staff chipped in together and got us our baby monitor and high chair. We were also given many other gifts by individuals such as a bobby, a night light, clothes, diapers, a play mat, and more. It turns out that I work with some very crafty people, too. Two people made us cute hats, another person made us a beautiful quilt, and another person made me a beautiful nursing cover. It was so exciting to finally have things to put in the nursery.

On Sunday, my mom, sister-in-law Crystal, and cousin Dawn gave me a shower that included friends and family. Again there was great food and tons of gifts. Dawn even had us play some great games which included me getting to have a bottle filled with Mike n Ikes (my favorite - well let's be honest, I love most candy). Eric came just in time to see all of our gifts being opened. We were overwhelmed by the generosity of our friends and family. Some of the items we got were a pack'n'play, carseat, bedding, blankets (including a handmade blanket), bottles, baby bath, clothes, and much, much more. Now, our nursery is looking much more complete.

We still have one more shower in about three weeks with Eric's side of the family. I'm starting to feel more prepared and even more excited for the baby!
