School is done for the year which means I will not be teaching again until November since I will be taking first quarter off from school. That doesn't mean that I won't be going into school. The baby will probably get to go into school in August with me so that I can get my room set up. I have to move rooms this year because I switched to the science position.
Things are going pretty smoothly with the pregnancy. I do tire more easily these days, but now that I don't have to work, it's easier to take breaks. The baby is constantly moving.
A friend recently asked me how I feel about being pregnant. She said now that I'm this far along, do I like being pregnant, or is it a means to an end. This really got me thinking about how the pregnancy had gone. Here's my reflection on the past 8 months. I wouldn't say that I am one of those people who goes around saying that I loved everything about being pregnant. I've had a runny nose since January, I've been completely congested for about a month, I've had to sit out from certain activities that I enjoy and sleep has become a challenge. With that being said, it is completely worth it and there are parts that I love and wouldn't want to give up. I would say that the day we found out we were pregnant was the happiest day of my life. I loved telling our friends and family that were going to have a baby. I love that the baby is always with me. I love that when I get excited about something, the baby seems to sense it, because she moves around more. I love feeling her move around. I love how excited Eric and I are to meet our new baby. I love that Eric and I have been able to go through this special experience together. I love talking with Eric about what our child will be like. He has already decided that she will love dogs. There are too many things to list that I love about being pregnant.
Although I may wake up several times a night to go to the bathroom or for some unknown reason, I am so glad that I have gotten to have this experience.
